Where Has My Knitting Mojo Gone?

My knitting mojo seems to have taken a very long vacation. I had not seen it since the ending of 2008.  So for the past 3 months its been MIA,  no matter how hard I tried, it was nowhere to been found. It finally decided to grace me with an appearance this past weekend and not a moment too soon.  I still have a bunch a baby things that need to be finished or rather started and finished in the next 6-8 weeks and a couple of things I want to finally make for myself. Here’s hoping it stays around long enough for me to actually get something completed.

F.O: Meine Kalte Liebe Cowl

I loved this cowl pattern the minute I saw it. It is a pattern that is being submitted to a Twilight Knits Book. The pattern is available on Ravelry for now, if it is accepted and will be published in the book then the designer will take it down. Meine Kalte Liebe means My Cold Love in German. I plan on making 2 more of these cowls, they are simple and beautiful.

A.S.S.S 2008 SWAP

I received a package from my A.S.S.S 2008 swap partner Annette. The package she sent is  absolutely beautiful!! I love it all especially the yarn and the hand made soap she made herself.  It smells so good!! Thank you so much Annette.

Babies!! Babies!! Babies!!

Most of my friends are having babies and they are all having girls. No boys!!?? What’s up with that?? The last friend who had a boy was a couple of years ago, only thing popping out around here are all girls, all the time. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m all for us females taking over the world, but why is it that most of them only want to dress them in only pink, pink, pink???  I like pink but one can only take so much of it.  Fortunately a couple of my girls don’t want pink so that might save my sanity with all the baby knitting I have to do.  I finished a couple of baby sweaters for the BF’s sister, they are for 2 of her co-workers. She brought me the yarn and I spent the past week or so knitting them up. The sweater pattern is easy but is only available through membership in the Babysweaters yahoo group. The hat and booties pattern are found on another site.

F.O.: A Hat Fit For Me!!!!

I finally got my partner’s Autumn Socks and Scarf Swap 2008 package done and shipped out by priority mail yesterday, she should receive it in a few days.

I started and finished a simple ribbed hat for myself. It was quick and easy. Now I have to make BF his hat and start on a pair of socks for him.
